The client's vision was clear: a fully functional bar, tasteful sports-bar-inspired TV screens, retro arcade games and a sound system that could rival most nightclubs. The result is an award-winning haven that seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with retro arcade charm.

Centralised Control

The central nervous system of this playground is a sophisticated combination of Control4 audio distribution, Wyrestorm NHD video over IP solution, and Kaleidescape media servers. Housed in a sleek Middle Atlantic rack, this setup is seamlessly managed by a comprehensive Control4 control system. Lutron Homeworks QS takes charge of the ambient lighting, providing an additional layer of user-friendly sophistication.

Superior Sound

Audio takes centre stage with six Artcoustic SL8-4 wall-mounted speakers and in-ceiling counterparts, delivering a well-balanced soundscape free of dead spots. Four Artcoustic Impact 2 dual 10” subwoofers strategically disperse deep bass, creating an audio experience that defies expectations. Two subs are positioned to the rear of the room and two are recessed into the joinery columns flanking the bar at the front. These have acoustic treatment within them ensuring the bass is dispersed forward into the room with no leakage behind.

Access to all music streaming services and dedicated Kaleidescape music servers is via the in wall Control4 10” touchscreen, or of course via the app or Neeo remote control.

Sports - On tap

Behind the bar, three Samsung 32” commercial TVs on mirrored panelling can independently display any of the 12 available video sources. Dedicated Kaleidescape players turn vintage sporting events into a dynamic spectacle, seamlessly blending with live action.

In addition to the cutting-edge display technology, the custom bar area boasts sophisticated Lutron lighting systems meticulously installed to amplify the excitement of the sports bar experience. The lighting setup is strategically designed to create dynamic atmospheres that adapt to the ebb and flow of the games.

Retro gaming

A cosy corner beckons with a separate TV and Artcoustic 2.1 audio system, ideal for indulging in retro game consoles. Original arcade machines, from Paperboy to Moto GP, invite patrons to relive the golden era of gaming, all under the glow of neon-frosted lighting.

Smart lighting controls, preset for different modes, enhance the retro-modern ambiance. The 'Arcades' button on the Lutron keypad effortlessly powers up all arcade machines, while a double-tap of 'Room Off' gracefully shuts down the AV system and arcade machines.
